Single or Double Plug Cementing Head

Cement head is a device fitted to the top joint of a casing string to hold a cement plug before it is pumped down the casing during the cementing operation. In most operations, a bottom plug is launched before the spacer of cement slurry. The top plug is released form the cement head after the spacer fluid. Most cement heads can hold both the top and bottom plugs. A manifold incorporated into the cement head assembly allows connection of a fluid circulation line.

The casing cement-head with double plugs (called as cement-head) is a common cementing tool used as wellhead unit in all kinds of cementing operation.

Comparing to cement-head with single plug, it owns longer cement-head body, and upper rubber plug and lower rubber plug can be put in at same time.

The tool owns some advantages such as simple construction, easy operation, high pressure resistant, manifold in common use, flexible in connecting.

Especially, the lever type indicator can show whether rubber plug goes through double plugs cement-head to enter casing so that operator can determine easily.
